Safety trainer – Confined Spaces

Oldham plus some regional travel

Initial 12 month contract with extension


Scope:

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Health & Safety Trainer who has previous experience working in confined spaces. Our client is a global company with a reputable training portfolio that operates in over 100 countries. The main purpose of this role is to provide in house and off site training in Oldham with some travel (approx 20%) and ensure all training materials and courses meet safety standards and regulatory requirements. This is an initial 12 month contract with scope for beyond this.


Responsibilities:

Key skills and responsibilities include:

  • The safe use of personal fall protection equipment, including work restraint, work positioning, fall arrest and rescue.
  • Delivery of training to meet course objectives using diverse teaching methods.
  • Understanding legislation and principles of risk assessment
  • Completing course paperwork accurately and in a reasonable timeframe
  • Inspection and maintenance of training equipment

About You:

Experience and Personal Skills

  • GWO/EUSR/MATS instructing experience desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Training experience required and ideally a PTLLS qualification or equivalent.
  • IT to basic level and presentation skills


Safety Training Instructors must be physically fit and a health screening certificate will be requested/or can be arranged.
