Part-Time Care Mandatory Courses Trainer

Greensleeves Care, the leading care charity in the UK is currently recruiting for a Part-Time Learning and Development Advisor to teach in-house mandatory care courses
Responsible to: Learning and Development Manager
Purpose of post: To deliver mandatory training to staff across the Trust. To oversee and have responsibility for the recording of training throughout the Trust.
Work pattern: Part time (You will be working 3 days one week and 2 days the next- total of 5 days within 2 weeks)
Pay: £22,000pa plus £2000 car allowance
Principal Responsibilities
- To deliver mandatory training, compliance and required training (for example health, safety & Well-being, SOVA, Infection Control, etc.) at all allocated homes.
- To assist in the design of mandatory, compliance and required training sessions as required.
- To attend as necessary training events as required.
- To support with maintaining the Trust’s training KPI’s, liaising with homes and proactively following up failures to meet the identified KPI’s.
- To assist the Learning and Development Manager in the drawing up of an annual Training & Development plan for each of your allocated homes.
- To contribute to divisional reports where required.
- To be able to carry out frequent travel nationwide.
You will be regularly travelling to the homes in the locations below:
- Clarendon Lodge (WD3 3JB)
- Viera Gray (SW13 9PP)
- Torkington House (W3 9HF)
- Spiers House (KT3 4SF)
- Queen Elizabeth House (BR1 2EE)
What you need to succeed:
- GCSE English Language (or equivalent)
- GCSE Maths (or equivalent)
- PTTLS L3 or equivalent training qualification
- L3 NVQ/QCF Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Substantial experience of working as a trainer in social care
- Proven track record in facilitating and delivery of high quality training.
- Understanding of the Health and Social Care training agenda
- Knowledge of the care sector, and in particular elderly residential care
