Night Manager

O50C are excited to be working with one of the UK leading accommodation providers who are recruiting for a night manager responsible for overseeing operations, maintaining safety and security, resolving issues, managing multiple sites, enforcing procedures, and leading a team during overnight hours. This role requires excellent customer service skills and an approachable demeanour.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and property
  • Implement and maintain safety procedures and protocols
  • Monitor activities to ensure adherence to safety regulations
  • Handle emergency situations promptly and effectively.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns in a timely manner
  • Handle unexpected situations and problems that arise during the night shift
  • Make decisions independently to resolve issues when higher management is unavailable.
  • Oversee operations across multiple areas or sites within the property.
  • Coordinate between different departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct regular rounds to inspect all areas under management.
  • Enforce company policies and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure all night staff are trained in accordance with established standards
  • Conduct night audits and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Supervise and lead the night shift team
  • Allocate duties to staff members and ensure tasks are completed to the required standard
  • Motivate and manage night staff to maintain high performance and guest satisfaction
  • Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests during night hours
  • Anticipate guest needs and go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Handle late check-ins, last-minute reservations, and special requests professionally


Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and systems
  • Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to drive with car


The ideal candidate will be approachable, customer-focused, and able to maintain a calm and professional approach in all situations with a passion for delivering exceptional service and the ability to lead by example in creating a positive guest experience.

They should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain composure under pressure, and effectively manage a diverse team across multiple locations.
