Records Management Specialist

Venn Group is partnering with a renowned broadcasting corporation to recruit for a Records Management Specialist on a 6 months interim contract. The successful postholder will play a key role in addressing critical gaps in records management and providing strategic recommendations and technical expertise.


Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead the remediation of identified gaps in critical records management
  • Review and improve current processes and classification systems
  • Enhance awareness of records management through additional training
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on best practices in Records Management
  • Define key records for archival, identifying storage locations, and conducting compliance risk assessments
  • Develop and implement a communications plan for current processes
  • Provide guidance to business records coordinators
  • Identify and align key roles needed for effective records management with existing roles


Ideal candidate profile:

  • Holds a qualification in records management, with knowledge of UK data laws
  • Experience in large-scale records retention and management, particularly in a media organisation
  • Experience in implementing records management initiatives and integrating them into operational practices
  • Skilled in raising awareness of information governance, providing training, coaching, and being persuasive across organisational levels.

Location: Central London

Duration: 6 months initial contract, with possible to extend

Daily Rate: £425-550 per day, paid via an Umbrella Company

Working hours: 35 hours per week

Working pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)

Start: ASAP
