We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Mandarin speaking Ecosystem Manager to join our Edinburgh office. In this role, you will lead efforts to promote our innovative new programming language across the UK and Europe. Your primary responsibilities will include driving community engagement, particularly among university students and academic institutions, and collaborating closely with our headquarters to ensure alignment with global strategies. Your work will be instrumental in establishing a strong and vibrant ecosystem for the language, empowering developers and students to fully realize its potential.


Key Responsibilities:


Community Building:

  • Engage with the developer community across the UK and Europe, with a particular focus on university students, to drive interest and adoption of the programming language.
  • Organize and participate in events such as hackathons, coding bootcamps, workshops, and meetups—both on-campus and online—to foster a sense of community and provide hands-on experience with the language.
  • Build and maintain relationships with university faculties, student organizations, and other academic partners to integrate the programming language into curricula and extracurricular activities.


Content Creation & Advocacy:

  • Develop and distribute high-quality content, including tutorials, blog posts, videos, and documentation, to educate and inspire developers and students to use the programming language.
  • Serve as the voice of the developer and student communities within the company, providing feedback to the product and engineering teams to influence the language's development and features.
  • Present at conferences, university events, and industry meetups to advocate for the programming language and showcase its capabilities.


Strategic Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with headquarters and regional teams to align promotional activities with global strategies and adapt them to local needs.


Requirements:

  • Strong academic background in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Experience in developer relations, community management, or advocacy roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of programming languages, software development practices, and computing technologies.
  • A solid understanding of the UK and EU developer ecosystem.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and a good team player.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe and globally.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is strongly preferred.
