We have an opportunity for a Lead Data Driven Transformation Consultant to support us in running and managing data projects / programmes in the Defence and Secure Government sectors, taking clients on a transformational journey to become data (or insight-driven) organisations, to enable them to achieve their critically important objectives.

When you aren't concentrating on driving successful delivery, you can grow our business by identifying and exploiting new opportunities across the client base and winning new data-focused client engagements. You will also share your experience and skills as an inspiring leader in data-focused transformation within the Sopra Steria Consulting Practice and externally across the Client-base.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-oriented and entrepreneurial individual to take a leading role in the transformation of some of the largest and most significant clients in the Defence and Secure Government sectors, building on a foundation of excellent client relationships, existing capabilities and working as part of a highly motivated and experienced team.

This is hybrid working, you would be required to attend client sites which would mainly be based in the South, South West area of England 2 - 3 times a week, so this would need to be easily commutable for you, also internal key meetings and training at one of our offices.

Key Responsibilities include;
  • Developing and expanding data-driven transformation services into clients.
  • Leading development of deliverable value propositions that meet client needs.
  • Helping clients to bridge the gap between business outcomes and people, process and technology.
  • Providing sound and trusted advice to clients, thinking collaboratively to identify, develop and capture consulting opportunities.
  • Drawing on your depth of experience to allow clients to re-imagine their future to remain ahead of the data curve.
  • Guiding and supporting the winning and delivery of data-focused work, whilst also building a pipeline of future account growth.
  • Delivering significant data projects, achieving revenue targets with high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identifying and building a market-leading team of data Consultants to deliver accelerated account performance and growth.
  • Developing an expansive network of internal and external stakeholders (partners and clients).
  • Working closely with other areas of the Consulting Practice to support wider sales and delivery.

What you'll bring;
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience, typically in Business, Information Technology or Engineering (includes appropriate apprenticeships).
  • Indept experience of working in IT Transformation projects / programmes comprising complex systems, data & analytics, or digital apps.
  • An outstanding track-record and recognised expertise in Data-Driven Transformation.
  • Previous experience of delivering multi-million pound data-focused projects and programmes and supporting the client in shaping and implementing their future data strategy.
  • Proven experience in leading Data and/or AI initiatives in large organisations.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies and their practical applications in a business context.
  • Demonstrable ability to analyse complex processes and develop strategic plans for Data/AI implementation.
  • Significant experience of developing business and winning data-driven transformation work.
  • Deep knowledge and experience across a range of data technologies, data platforms, visualisation, governance, architecture and automation.
  • Significant client-facing experience with a recognised consulting business.
  • Experience of leading consulting teams and a range of complex engagements.
  • UKIC DV (preferred) or MOD DV (may be considered depending on skills and experience)

It would be great if you had;
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent (SFIA 5)
  • ITIL v3 or above (SFIA 5)
  • Experience of SAFe , IT4IT, TOGAF (SFIA L5)
  • Experience of LEAN / Six Sigma (SFIA 5)
