An ideal opportunity for an experienced Luxury Hotel Porter has come available at Fairmont Windsor Park for those looking to develop their current career path.

The successful individual will become our new “Head Porter, who will assist our guests with all their luggage needs, room orientation, valet parking and welcoming guests on and off the premises.

Providing an ongoing and consistent high level of support to our guests and junior Porter team is fundamental for smooth running of operations.

Other duties include -

  • Providing knowledge of the local area to guests
  • Ensuring the Door and Porters team are sufficiently staffed.
  • Managing the Rota's for the team is ran efficiently.
  • Coaching the team to deliver a high level of luxury service daily.
  • Having porters tend to the lobby area ensures that guests are helped.
  • Providing information, recommendations, and booking services for a variety of guest inquiries,
  • Answering internal and external telephone calls
  • Providing support to the guest relations and business operations team members.
  • Coordinating with Reception team to ensure that the room is ready and coordinate luggage delivery with the Luggage Porters if luggage has been stored.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous hotel Porter experience is desirable.
  • Previous customer service experience is essential.
  • A capability and commitment to delivering high levels of customer care
  • A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Experience of working with and supervising a winning team
  • Computer literacy
  • Cash handling experience
