Newcastle, Tyne & Wear, United Kingdom SAGE GROUP PLC Full time

Get ready. Because you’re about to embark on an AI mission to revolutionise small business and accounting practices.

Sage Copilot isn’t just an AI-powered tool. We’re developing a game changer. A tool that will help customers streamline their tasks, boost their efficiency, and unlock new opportunities. Making it a trusted business partner, the likes of which they’ve never seen.

And you’ll be at the forefront of its development, as part of a global team, who can’t wait to collaborate and innovate with you.

We’re working on a truly groundbreaking product. So, is this your next technology job? No—that doesn’t do it justice. This is the future realised—for you, for our customers, and for the shape of technology as we’ve dreamed it.

This is a hybrid role – three days per week in our Newcastle or Manchester offices.

Ready to take your design career to the next level? Want to own the design of AI-driven products, see your work through to launch and beyond, and make a meaningful impact on customers and communities?

You’ll join a small team of talented, innovative, fresh-thinking designers whilst being part of a wider global community of analysts and developers.

You’ll take an active role in the interaction design of our products, with the freedom to do the best work of your career.

Are you passionate about creating intuitive, human-centred designs for AI-powered products? Join our team to shape experiences that matter, crafting solutions that are innovative, accessible, and delightful.

Key Responsibilities What You’ll Do:

As a Senior UX Designer, you’ll lead the interaction design of AI-driven products, driving innovation and user-centred design. Here’s a glimpse of your first year:

• Design seamless, end-to-end experiences for flagship features across web and mobile platforms.

• Refine and expand our Design System, ensuring it’s inclusive and impactful.

• Collaborate closely with developers to bring your designs to life and contribute to our Carbon Development Framework.

• Build meaningful connections with our users—entrepreneurs and small businesses driving change.

• Continuously learn and experiment with cutting-edge AI tools and methodologies.

Who You Are:

You’re an ambitious Senior UX Designer who balances innovation with empathy, delivering practical solutions that resonate with real-world users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design intuitive interfaces and navigation patterns for our product ecosystem.

• Apply design thinking to create and test prototypes rapidly.

• Deliver high-fidelity, pixel-perfect designs with accessibility at their core.

• Mentor junior designers and contribute to a collaborative, feedback-driven culture.

• Partner with stakeholders to align business goals with user needs.

Your Experience:

Required:

• Expertise in UX/UI design with shipped projects to showcase.

• Deep understanding of AI technologies (e.g., machine learning, NLP, generative AI) and their application in user experiences.

• Advanced Figma skills.

• Experience designing SaaS or interactive cloud-based systems.

• Strong knowledge of accessible and responsive design principles.

Bonus Skills:

• Background in service design, information architecture, or customer journey mapping.

• Familiarity with Lean/Agile workflows, Design Sprints, or product-led growth.

• Experience with native mobile app design (iOS/Android).
