Overview:

Robert Half is currently recruiting a Systems Compliance Specialist on behalf of our client. In this role, you will ensure compliance with all relevant quality, health and safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with various departments to identify and mitigate risks while promoting continuous improvement across all aspects of service delivery.


Key Responsibilities:


Legal and Compliance Requirements:

  • Monitor updates to regulations affecting the business, ensuring the legal register and internal procedures are kept up to date.
  • Support the health and safety (HSE) committee, promoting engagement and continual improvement in HSE performance.
  • Prepare and submit data for internal and external compliance platforms.


Management Systems:

  • Conduct regular reviews of Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety management systems to align with ISO requirements and business needs.
  • Maintain and update procedures, ensuring they are accessible and compliant with internal systems.
  • Provide QHSE training, track participation, and compile reports for senior leadership.
  • Assist with tender submissions and maintain the approved supplier and distributor lists.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and membership requirements.


Risk Management:

  • Regularly review operational risks and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proper risk assessments are in place.


Audits and Assessments:

  • Conduct internal and external audits, reporting findings and ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Participate in external audits and escalate significant issues to management.


Project Support:

  • Contribute to projects, ensuring quality, environmental, and health and safety compliance is maintained within project scope.


Skills and Experience:

  • Qualifications and experience relevant to compliance and quality management.
  • Proficiency with ISO management systems (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001).
  • Experience in sectors such as engineering or construction is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental management.
  • Competent auditor with experience in compliance reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel).


Personal Qualities:

  • Strong communicator with the ability to interact at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and organized.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and focus on adding value.


Other Details:

  • National travel and occasional overnight stays are required.
  • Additional hours may be required based on business needs.
