What will you be responsible for ?

The Workday Financials Manager will be responsible for enhancing and optimising Skyscanner's Workday Financials platform. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, gathering business requirements, designing solutions, and ensuring seamless integration of financial processes within Workday.

Ideally you will have extensive knowledge of Workday Financials, financial planning (Adaptive Panning) and technical proficiency in configuration and integrations.

Initially your focus will be on playing a lead technical role in the following projects:

Billing Optimisation - Billing UI, Partner Hierarchy & Rate Card & scalable process improvements
Purchase to Pay - End to End - Redesign/Optimise process including in/out bound integrations
Adaptive Planning Optimisation - Build & configure Workday Adaptive Planning models to reduce manual toil & increase effectiveness across FP&A and financial reporting

Optimisation & Project Delivery:

  • Identify and implement optimisation solutions for the platform, providing guidance to finance and functional teams to enhance the overall Workday functionality.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they meet desired outcomes and project goals
  • Support initiatives led by other tribes, squads, or teams by delivering the financial systems components of their projects
  • Coordinate efforts across multiple teams to achieve project objectives. Reporting & Analytics
  • Optimise and maintain custom reports and dashboards to provide actionable
    insights into financial data, ensuring timely and accurate information is available for decision-making

Integration Development:

Design, build, and maintain integrations between Workday and other internal or external systems using Workday Studio, EIBs, Web Services, Orchestrate, and other Workday tools:

  • Provide business-critical technical support for financial systems, ensuring continuity
  • Utilise AMS support where applicable and deploy complex solutions to improve the financial systems support model
  • Develop lower-level support models to enhance overall system efficiency
  • Manage relationships with cross-functional teams and leadership across Skyscanner, responding to queries, building knowledge, and providing insights to drive effective business decisions
  • Oversee relationships with external partners to support strategic goals and ensure effective delivery.

What Experience will you bring?

  • 3-5 years of experience working with Workday Financials, including configuration, support, and integration
  • Proven experience designing and developing Workday integrations using tools such as Workday Studio, EIBs, Web Services, and other integration platforms
  • Background in financial systems analysis, implementation, and technical support
  • In-depth knowledge of all Workday Financials modules, including Workday Adaptive Planning & Strategic Sourcing
  • Strong expertise in Workday integration tools such as Workday Studio, EIBs, and Web Services
  • Experience in report writing and data analytics within Workday.

  • Excellent communication skills effectively leading technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with a bias for detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team in a multifaceted environment
