Position Summary & Objective


We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our team to support the growth objectives for the OpSec business. This role will give the successful candidate unparalleled experience of contracting for the supply of services, software and sale of goods as well as partnerships and joint ventures to address multi-year government contracts around the world.


Essential Functions Performed by the Position



  • Management: Lead the negotiation, drafting, and management of new customer contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Development: In collaboration with Bid Management, oversee the preparation of proposals, bids, and tender documents for potential clients, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with company strategy.
  • Relations: Work closely with the Sales team to ensure customer needs are identified, understood and reflected in proposals and contracts.
  • Collaboration: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Product Management, Finance, Legal and Sales to bring together the key functions required to address customer needs and optimize contracts to secure maximum value for the business.
  • lifecycle management: optimize the process for contract renewals by working with legal to streamline drafting of standard agreements.
  • Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract execution and client engagement, ensuring all contracts are structured to protect the company’s interests.
  • Management: optimize proposed pricing to maximise chances of securing contracts while protecting margin and operating within the company’s pricing matrices.
  • Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of contract management activities and client satisfaction.
  • and joint ventures: Develop heads of terms for partnerships and joint ventures to support our growth objectives in government contracts.
  • relationships: Deliver appropriate flow-down terms for supplier solutions which are integrated with in-house software and physical products.



Experience and Skills Required :


  • ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing new customer contracts from quote to executed agreement, with demonstrable international experience across both government and commercial clients.
  • of 7 years of experience in commercial management, with a focus on new-business contracting with international clients in both government and commercial sectors.



Position Qualifications


  • degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, IACCM, CIMA) is a plus.
