We are seeking a dedicated Back Office Analyst to join our dynamic trading floor team. In this pivotal role, you will support our rapidly growing business with key tasks including deal confirmations, trade reconciliation, settlements, and P&L calculation. You will also be responsible for monitoring margins and collaterals, working closely with our finance team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of energy market dynamics, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving attitude. This role is crucial for ensuring the commercial success of deals made by our Front Office teams and acting as a quality checkpoint throughout the trade lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Trades Reconciliation: Conduct daily reconciliation of trades across various commodity classes, ensuring data accuracy and completeness in the company system.
  • Daily P&L Reporting: Calculate and report daily profit and loss for trading portfolios, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Confirmation and Settlements: Coordinate with counterparties and internal stakeholders to confirm trades and settle transactions promptly.
  • Collateral Management: Monitor and manage collateral requirements for trades, optimizing usage and ensuring compliance with risk management policies.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance back-office processes and systems, contributing to overall efficiency and effectiveness.


Discover the Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a back office or trading operations role within the energy industry.
  • Knowledge of energy trading contracts and pricing mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI and Excel; familiarity with programming languages such as Python and VBA is a plus.
  • Experience with trading and risk management systems (ETRM) is preferred.
