HEAD OF OPERATIONS – CYBER SECURITY – LONDON START UP / SCALE UP

Here is a rare and fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Operations to join an exciting start-up who have ambitions to scale their Cyber Security solutions, Globally.


Elysium Talent represent some of the most exciting and innovative companies in the world. This role is working for one of the most exciting startups in the Cyber space and require someone with knowledge of Cyber, Asset Management and OT solutions to join and spearhead the Business.


Role Overview:

This is a exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to lead, steer and develop a business through its growth period. You will play a key role in defining the technical operations and will be heavily involved in optimising, and further developing the businesses proposition.

Seeking someone who has a “big picture” mindset, the business are looking for someone who will come onboard and lead a Talented team ranging from Field Engineers to Delivery Leads.


Day to day:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise efficiency. This includes process improvements, automation, and resource allocation.
  • You will provide leadership and direction to the businesses operations team, ensuring goals and objectives are met, along with a focus on nurturing a collaborative and continuously improving culture.
  • Working to SLA’s and overseeing the delivery to the businesses clients
  • Driving Continuous Improvement in all areas of the business
  • Being the POC for customers and always ensuring standards and service at high levels.
  • You will lead incident management.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks. Implement appropriate controls and measures to protect client assets and data.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on operational performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners, evaluating performance and ensuring alignment with business objectives.


Experience Required

  • Extensive experience of hands-on cyber security operations
  • Minimum 5 years experience within an OT environment
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices
  • Project and Product Management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CEH or similar.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
  • Strong communication skills – internal and external, at all levels


Desired Experience:

  • Experience working in a managed service provider (MSP) is highly desirable.
  • Energy sector experience is highly desirable.
  • Start-up experience is highly advantageous.
