What you will do
Note that this is a primarily office-based role (~4 days per week).
We are seeking a Chief of Staff (CoS) to report to our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and sit on our leadership team (LT). In this role, you will own a portfolio of strategic, cross-functional projects, manage core LT business operations, and deliver industry research and financial analysis that influences company strategy and priorities at the highest level. The ideal candidate will seek to use this position as a springboard for a broader role within the organization after 1-2 years.
The successful candidate is highly strategic yet deeply connected to the details. You have strong project management skills, a proven track record building productive working relationships with C-level customers and internal stakeholders, a very high bar for written and verbal communication, and an ability to put structure around ambiguous situations to ‘cut through the noise’, remove blockers, and deliver results at pace. Beyond the day job, we are looking for candidates who share our enthusiasm about the potential for Zero100 to have a positive impact on the supply chain profession and (more broadly) the planet.
Core Responsibilities
- Scope and deliver strategic, cross-functional projects that span multiple business departments
- Advise the CEO, CFO, and the leadership team on business strategy
- Oversee the operating rhythm for the company’s leadership team, including quarterly business reviews and an annual strategy planning process
- Build highly detailed financial models that inform business strategy
- Conduct regular market analysis and present results to the CEO, CFO, and leadership team
- Draft executive-level internal and external communications
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or private equity roles with progressive levels of seniority
- Strong managerial, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- A high level of integrity, judgement, and discretion on sensitive topics
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills; experience writing long-form narratives/strategy documents in a business environment
- Ability to be flexible and multi-task against multiple projects; very strong attention to detail
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong willingness to learn and experiment in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Willingness to travel
- Experience working in supply chain and/or operations
- Experience working in a start-up and/or scale-up environment
