Future Build Recruitment is working with a top-tier company seeking an experienced Demolition Estimator to join their busy commercial team in South London. This role offers the chance to work on complex and challenging demolition and strip-out projects, providing excellent opportunities for career progression and professional growth in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review architectural/structural drawings, specifications, and other project documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Analyse and quantify materials, labour, and equipment required for each project.
- Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns, proposals, and bid packages.
- Track and update cost data to ensure accuracy and reflect any changes during the estimation process.
- Conduct thorough reviews of project requirements to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Perform take-offs using estimating software.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience as a Demolition Estimator, including proficiency in take-offs.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, processes, and materials.
- Good analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to interpret and analyse architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with industry best practices.
- Experience in using various construction online document systems, such as Procore or Aconex.
