The Role

The Partnership Manager is responsible for the management of relationships, which can include vendors, third parties, and networks. This role will have responsibility for managing the day-to-day relationship on behalf of the organization. This position interacts with IT, Account Management, Cardholder Support, Implementation, Finance and Legal. The Partnership Manager will manage projects as they pertain to current, in progress implementations, working with an internal team and partners to ensure execution. They will look to keep service level standards and improve processes around the relationship to ultimately lead in a stronger partnership and increased success for the business. The Partnership Manager will be required to understand the processes, requirements, and SLAs of EML’s partners, ensuring that all required pieces of an assigned implementation project are delivered on time.


What you’ll do

  • Maintains relationships with assigned key partner stakeholders and communicates with manager on partner updates
  • Works with partnership stakeholders to determine additional needs of the assigned partnership and of the business
  • Collaborate with IT to plan and execute the integration with networks when new product offerings require it
  • Establish and maintain an effective relationship with partners and meet at regular intervals, or as required, with the purpose of reviewing the progress of all aspects to ensure program specifications and deadlines are met
  • Audits internal and external communications to ensure that the business is compliant to the partner’s standards
  • Demonstrates problem solving and analytical skills as well as reasoning ability to facilitate the decisions making processes. Ability to find the solution that is best for the company first while still supporting the partner
  • Sets positive standards and inspires others to exhibit excellence in their work
  • Recognizes areas of improvement in processes; propose effective solutions and implement process changes within the organization
  • Ability to know when tasks should be owned personally or should be tasked to other internal owners.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned


What you’ll bring

Knowledge of and skills in:

  • Prepaid products, transaction/payment processing and relationship management
  • Network collateral guidelines, prepaid collateral guidelines
  • Full Suite of Microsoft Office Applications including PowerPoint and Visio
  • Practices methods, procedures, and terminology used in program management
  • Proper audit and documentation management
  • Finding solutions to complex challenges in both an innovative or a strained relationship
  • 5 Years of Relationship or Vendor Management Experience
  • Experience in prepaid, banking or other financial services industry

Ability to:

  • Negotiate and motivate partners and vendors to support company initiatives
  • Meet demanding schedules and timelines
  • Communicate and work effectively with a variety of types of partners
  • Work independently with minimal supervision or in a highly visible hands-on environment; dependent on project
  • Manage multiple partner relationships simultaneously as assigned.
  • Lead teams effectively regardless of direct authority
