Primary Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:"
- Delivery of accurate and reliable financial information for completion of statutory / entity and group reporting, working in conjunction with Finance Operations
- Production and analysis of investment assets data to support regulatory submissions and board and conduct review of analysis and reconciliations
- Knowledge of Investment assets disclosures under Solvency II, Lloyds of London, UK GAAP and IFRS for external reporting
- Ensure that financial data and reports comply with the appropriate management, statutory and regulatory requirements, plus QBE Group accounting guidance and best practice guidelines
- Represent Financial Reporting function in (and contribute to) projects / change programmes, impacting financial reporting activities, presentations as necessary
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including internal and external auditors, to ensure service delivery meets customer expectations.
- Ability to work and share Investment/FX knowledge alongside Stakeholders, Directors, CFO and the Board
- Part/Qualified accountant (for example ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent or have relevant years of working experience
- Have an in depth understanding of best-practice accounting (in an insurance environment preferred, although strong candidates from other parts of financial services industry will be considered)
- Experience of use of latest relevant accounting software and tools
- Excellent analysis and data modelling skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective communication at all levels within the organisation
- Be confident building controls into processes
- Thorough understanding of best practice accounting
- Good knowledge of relevant current statutory, legal and regulatory accounting requirements
- Excellent Knowledge of relevant accounting Software and tools
