Software QA Engineer (Automation & Manual)
Hybrid (up to 5 days a month in office with notice)
Northampton
Salary: Up to £47,000+benefits
QA engineer with an interest in security & defence? Experience with writing Manual and Automation tests, with a comprehension of Locust, Python and approach to CI/CD in a cross-collaborative team?
This role is initially 2/3 days a week on site, moving to a more remote setting where in office would be with notice only for unique situations (new product rollouts, fixing, etc.)
An opportunity to join an already established QA function as their first individual QA Engineer with a capacity to head up a team in the future.
Responsibilities/Experience
- QA experience with test automation tools and frameworks
- TCP/IP and networking experience comprehension is a benefit
- Ability to excel in scripting and automation, creating reusable, maintainable test scripts
- Isolate and resolve software defects, with clear communication and articulation of findings
- Create thorough documentation of test plans, procedures and outcomes
- Be part of a collaborative team with Engineering/Development to build and maintain CICD pipelines, integrating testing into the SDLC
Nice to Have Technologies:
- Manual & Automation QA experience (2+ years)
- Linux, Python Scripting, Locust comprehension or basic understanding
- TCP/IP or Network Protocols, perhaps of an IoT background
- An understanding of the "Three Amigos" approach
3 stage interview does include an in-person final opportunity so commutable distance is required. This role is within security so a background check would be necessary and thus, unfortunately VISA sponsorship cannot be offered at this time.
