Allegra World Coffee Portal is responsible for producing the Project Café report series featuring primary research on the branded coffee chain market and conducts the annual Great British Coffee Shop Survey featuring the responses of over 40,000 consumers across the UK.


Role Description

The Coffee Research Manager role is critical within the World Coffee Portal research team. Reporting to the Head of Research, you will have primary responsibility for ensuring the team meets its project requirements and deadlines, conducting primary research to the highest standard, consistent across all markets and publications.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct research in accordance with World Coffee Portal’s proprietary research framework

· Perform coffee market research across multiple global geographies

· Train and lead the internal research team according to best practice methodologies

· Represent Allegra World Coffee Portal in person at global industry events and conferences

· Contribute to monthly online client seminars presenting World Coffee Portal data

· Build first rate knowledge of key coffee markets, brand profiles and consumer trends

· Conduct in-depth interviews and distribute surveys with key industry players

· Build the Allegra contacts database by developing a wide breadth of industry contacts

· Support the team in delivering client requirements for bespoke projects

Role Requirements

· Minimum two years’ experience working within market research

· Passion for coffee and detailed knowledge of the wider industry

· Confidence to assume a position of key responsibility with measurable KPI’s

· Experience managing a team of researchers coordinating on multiple projects

· Strong time management skills and capable of working to tight deadlines

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Expert in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint

· University degree or above

· Must be based in London, UK

Role Desirables

· Experience using IBM SPSS Statistics

Successful candidates in this phase will then be invited to Allegra HQ in Camden for an interview with Allegra World Coffee Portal’s Head of Research.
