About the role:

We are seeking a Lead Data Architect to oversee the design and implementation of our organization's data architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, data lakes, and data governance principles, as well as experience leading teams of data architects and engineers. The Lead Data Architect will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure that our data architecture supports our organization's strategic goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain our organization's data architecture, including data models, data dictionaries, and data integrations.
  • Ensure that our data architecture supports our organization's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements.
  • Lead data architects and engineers to design and implement our data architecture.
  • Ensure that our data architecture is scalable, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of our organization's data.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate our data architecture with other systems and applications.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in data architecture and data management.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modelling, and data governance
  • Experience leading teams of data architects and engineers
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing and data lake principles and technologies
  • Experience with data governance frameworks and tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
