Head of Internal Communications

Job Description

We are seeking a Head of Internal Communications to help define our culture and drive engagement across an energetic, fast-paced and global fintech.

So, who are we?

Hello, we're IG Group. No, not Instagram - though we're a pretty big deal ourselves. We're a global, FTSE 250-listed company made up of a collection of progressive fintech brands in the world of online trading and investing. The best part? We've snapped up many awards for our top-class platforms, forward-thinking products, and incredible employee experiences.

We believe in financial freedom. And our purpose is to help ambitious people achieve it. Around 400,000 people use our groundbreaking technology and forward-thinking platforms to trade the financial products they know and love.

Did we mention we have offices in 18 countries? Yes, when you join IG Group, you'll have the chance to work across multiple brands, with people all over the world. Join us for an exciting future and let's innovate together

  • Lead on the internal rollout of strategically important Group communications.

  • Be able to develop corporate and employee communications messages and tools, and to support large-scale change and strategic projects.

  • Lead relationship management with relevant agencies as required.

  • Work as an advisor to the Executive team to support their group-wide internal engagement in a way that enhances the strategy and values drives awareness, and celebrates IG's strategic successes.

  • Manage strategically important news flow across the business.

  • Work with regional teams to align in-country communications with Group and strategic messaging as necessary.

  • Manage the reporting and benchmarking of internal communications.

  • Learn fast, together, building a strong network across the business globally. This includes critical stakeholders such as Divisional Business Managers, Investor relations, and marketing teams.

  • Understand the company structure and operations.

Who we're looking for:

You're energetic and enthusiastic, and you have an open mind and a curious, can-do attitude. You, like us, understand the importance of collaboration and are driven to be the best in what you do. A problem solver and driving execution are two skills you feel most proud of.

You embody our three core values - to champion the client, learn fast together and raise the bar.

You want to be part of a proudly carbon-neutral company that will prioritize your well-being and that of the world around you, helping to create a brighter future for all. A company that embraces diversity and welcomes everyone with respect, regardless of race, age, sexual orientation, gender, identification, faith or culture. If you're inspired by our way of working

What you'll need:

  • Significant internal communications experience at a senior level. [10+ years]

  • Experience setting and implementing communications strategies at a global level.

  • Ability to develop messaging and supporting documentation.

  • Strong working knowledge of key internal communications tools and channels.

  • Strong understanding of KPIs and measurement.

  • Ability to build trust at a senior level and act as an advisor to C-suite.

  • Pragmatic approach that combines strategic delivery with hands-on implementation

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in developing and overseeing the implementation of large-scale change projects.

  • Experience of working in a global organisation, matrixed organisation.

  • Experience working in a publicly listed company.

How you'll grow:

When you join IG Group, we want you to have more than a job - we want you to have a career. And you can. If you spot an opportunity, we want you to chase it. Stretch yourself, challenge your self-beliefs and go for the things you dream of. With internal and external learning opportunities and the tools to help you skyrocket to success, we'll support you all the way.

And these opportunities truly are endless because we have some bold targets. We plan to expand our global presence, increase revenue growth, and ultimately deliver the world's best trading experience. We'd love to have you along for the ride.

The perks:

It really is more than a job. We'll recognize your talent and make sure that you can still have a life - at work, and outside of it. Networks, committees, awards, sports and social clubs, mentorships, volunteering opportunities, extra time off… the list goes on.
