The role

Our team of experts works with top-tier clients across various industries, helping them harness the power of the cloud to transform their operations.


As a highly skilled Cloud expert, you will join our team and play a crucial role in the development and implementation of our industry leading solutions and platforms. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, securing and maintaining our cloud-based platforms to industry best practices, ensuring their flexibility, observability, scalability and reliability. You will collaborate closely with other experts in the Colibri Digital team to create a robust and efficient cloud environment that supports our business needs and those of our clients.


Key responsibilities

  • Expert knowledge of at least one cloud hyper scalar, preferably AWS or Azure, and the ability to impart this knowledge across internal and external teams.
  • Be confident in being a trusted advisor to our clients, looking out for clients’ needs and being able to sell in a consultative manner evangelising the value of data and a cloud first approach.
  • Eliciting client needs through non-jargon ridden conversation and vague requirements, translating them into elegant solutions that clearly articulate business outcomes and benefits.
  • Be adaptive to the client audience and able to craft your message from detailed orientated technical specialists through to the c suite.
  • Design and implement a scalable cloud infrastructure to host our platforms, ensuring high availability, reliability, performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Implement automation and orchestration techniques to optimise processes, improve quality, and enhance the speed of both our technical platforms and project delivery. We use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and Python in automation hence prior experience of these is a benefit.
  • Ensure the security and governance of the cloud environment, implementing robust access controls, auditing and monitoring mechanisms. Exposure to relevant legislation such as GDPR is a benefit.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Attend and contribute to all required team meetings, stakeholder meetings, standups etc…


About you

  • Proven experience working with at least one major cloud platform (preferably AWS or Azure).
  • Strong expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure design, and deployment methodologies.
  • Proficient in cloud automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, CDK etc…).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with ‘serverless’ technologies (e.g. Azure Functions, Lambda etc…).
  • Familiarity with data management and processing tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Spark, Hadoop).
  • Knowledge of the Strangler pattern and experience transitioning legacy services to modern infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and data privacy/governance principles in a cloud environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed systems environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
