Overview

Everest People Solutions are recruiting for a Head of HR to lead a dynamic team within a growing company in the food and agriculture industry. Reporting to the Group General Manager, you will take charge of the HR, recruitment, and payroll departments, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and robust employee support. In this pivotal Head of HR role, you will work closely with the COO, Group General Manager, and Recruitment Manager to align HR strategies with company goals.


As the Head of HR; you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure compliance with employment laws, particularly around right to work and sponsorship licensing. Additionally, as Head of HR will provide insightful reports on key HR metrics such as staff turnover and absences, while driving initiatives to improve job satisfaction and welfare facilities.


Key Responsibilities for the Head of HR:

  • You will offer guidance to both employees and managers on HR issues, address complaints, and resolve conflicts to maintain a harmonious working environment.
  • Ensure robust procedures are in place for onboarding new staff, manage skilled worker sponsorship compliance through regular audits, and oversee the completion and storage of right to work checks.
  • Lead weekly recruitment meetings, provide regular reports on key HR metrics including staff turnover, vacancies, and absences, and ensure all data is accurately maintained.
  • Drive HR projects such as enhancing job satisfaction through incentives, upgrading payroll and compliance software, and improving welfare facilities to support employee well-being.
  • Oversee performance reviews and probation sign-offs within your department, ensuring that the team remains aligned with company goals.
  • Maintain headcount in line with company demand, ensuring the recruitment process is effective and reduces the need for external recruiters.
  • Implement software solutions that improve the efficiency of payroll, recruitment, and HR operations.
  • Ensure timely issuance of reports, typically every Friday, to keep the management team informed of HR activities.


Requirements for the Head of HR:

  • CIPD qualification is required.
  • Experience with skilled worker visas is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in a Senior HR role covering multiple departments.
  • This role requires someone who values an on-site office culture, with a clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality in HR matters.
