RHC (Rachel Harrison Communications) is a creative communications agency with offices in London, New York & LA and a focus on hospitality, spirits, F&B and travel. We are looking to grow our team in the UK by hiring a Senior Account Executive to work across our luxury travel/hospitality accounts in our London office. This is a hybrid role.


The focus of this role will be to proactively pitch our culinary, drinks and luxury travel clients, as well as support on the management of the account (internally and with clients). The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for delivering high-quality media hits as well as contributing to strategy creation and execution, creative writing and client management. They will already hold strong relationships with media in London and the UK and feel comfortable crafting creative press materials. With some clients, this role will be work internationally with our US colleagues.


The ideal candidate will have strong proactive and reactive media relations skills and a wide base of top-tier consumer and trade press contacts in F&B and/or travel media in the UK. They will have a proven track record of executing strong media campaigns with strong writing skills and a creative flair. We are particularly looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years agency experience working across hospitality and/or luxury travel brands, pitching media in the UK.


We are looking for someone dynamic and enthusiastic who lives and breathes eating & drinking in London and travelling the world, with a genuine passion for one, or both, industries and a keen understanding of the UK media landscape.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct proactive and reactive media pitching. Successfully pitch stories and meet with media to deliver high-quality results
  • Seek out creative ideas and opportunities to identify and cultivate story ideas for media pitching
  • Create key assets for accounts including press releases, fact sheets, biographies, messaging, media alerts, agendas and recaps, supported by junior team members
  • Act as day-to-day client contact and with clients
  • Play a supporting role in the development of comprehensive public relations strategies and plans
  • Participate in new business development, including brainstorms, research, audits, surveys and writing content
  • Delegate effectively, setting clear expectations and deadlines, providing needed resources for project completion and monitoring progress
  • Follow industry and client category trends and regularly share insights, thoughts and key findings particularly as it relates to competitors
  • Oversee junior staff’s work products to ensure quality and consistency
  • Manage quality of work on accounts with professionalism and supportive team leadership


THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL:

  • Have a strong attention to detail
  • Be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple accounts with ease and professionalism, delegate effectively, set clear expectations and deadlines and work under pressure
  • Be able to write creatively with experience crafting assets (press releases, bios, media alerts, etc). and being proactive and nimble with angles
  • Have enthusiasm and passion for the culinary, drinks or travel industries in London and the UK
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a proven strong work ethic


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience working in a public relations agency in the UK (London preferred)
  • Must have food and drink or travel media experience - lifestyle will be considered if other experience is clear


SALARY RANGE

  • DOE
