✂ MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE

We are looking for a Senior New Product Development Manager, passionate about innovation and the beauty industry, to develop our Creed fragrance portfolio and to support our continued market growth. You are responsible for leading strategic launch plans across the entire brand by developing and executing launch projects to deliver on time and in full.


The Senior New Product Development Manager within Operations leads product developments and major changes from the brief construction to market availability. You will coordinate projects to ensure seamless integration with key departments such as R&D, Global Innovation and Marketing, Packaging and Sustainability, and across all of Operations, based on business needs.

With the support of your team and peers, you take on the challenge to deliver consistently and reduce development lead times, by mitigating risks and building realistic time plans, as well as ensuring cost of goods, quality and service requirements are achieved.


✂ ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with our Global Innovation and Marketing teams in the elaboration of new product briefs, to ensure design-to cost, profitability, sustainability and innovation
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners throughout the NPD launch cycle
  • Manage product launches, projects development, and project management activities to assure timeline and cost-effective new product launches
  • Prepare and monitor Feasibility Costs, Cost Of Good & Gross Margin Analysis, in connection with Finance (Procurement, Cost Control and Financial Management)
  • Anticipate, assess and manage risks related to timing, quality, and cost of NPD projects
  • Optimize launch process, tools and procedures: PMO optimisation
  • Custodian of the Stage Gate process: drive roll-out across the organization and ensure adequate training for all relevant stakeholders
  • Create and maintain relevant NPD pipeline portfolio updates and ensure proper communication and risk escalation to senior leaders when necessary
  • Research and drive innovation and sustainability Initiatives hand in hand with Brand Innovation managers.
  • Interface with all Operations Management and associated or related functional areas.
  • Create and execute launches into Product Lifecycle Management
  • Recruit and develop an NPD Engineer / Junior Manager
  • Develop and maintain professional knowledge of new or emerging trends within the Product Development discipline.
  • Collaborate with Pack Development, Procurement, Sustainability, Olfactive and Quality departments regarding TPM and Suppliers Management relevant for the project portfolio: eg. attend supplier audits, visits, previews, meetings, trade shows, project reviews, etc….



✂ REQUIREMENTS


  • More than 7 years of experience in Project Management with responsibility for launching global products, which involved working cross-functionally with Operations teams (Manufacturing, Sourcing, Packaging, Sustainability) as well as Global Innovation and Brand Marketing teams.
  • Experience developing products and packaging within the Beauty industry (ideally in perfume, skincare or make-up), especially for Luxury markets. High sensibility towards luxury product and customer expectations.
  • Has an existing network of relevant suppliers and contacts from the Luxury or Beauty sector, to leverage and share product and packaging development challenges and opportunities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, international project context with strong relationship management and influencing skills Demonstrates a can do attitude and is a team-player.
  • Creative and innovative mindset to support our Global Brand strategy
  • Demonstrates initiative, autonomy and organization skills
  • Ability to successfully lead cross-functional teams and projects to completion, with drive and agility.
  • Experience managing and developing a small team within NPD or other Project Managers
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft 365, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Analytical with strong problem-solving skills (skills in system implementation, run mode and scalable delivery)
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), to be able to effectively manage stakeholders across all levels of our organization internally and externally
  • Fluent in English and French, spoken and written.
