Our client has three consumer focussed businesses: a luxury travel and hospitality business, a platform that connects professionals with exclusive, curated spaces for work and events, and a comprehensive aviation services company providing a range of offerings including aircraft management, charter services, maintenance, and aircraft sales.


THE ROLE

As the Global Head of Digital Marketing, you will be responsible for spearheading their efforts to penetrate new overseas markets and drive business growth through digital channels in the UK. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing innovative marketing strategies tailored to diverse international audiences, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize performance and ROI.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Development:

▪ As a key stakeholder, you will be responsible for devising the global digital strategy aligned with the business objectives, steer best practice in digital user experience and content through experience, industry best practice and analytic data.

▪ Devise and deliver an effective global content marketing strategy, securing feedback, endorsement, and support from key stakeholders, tailored to audience, brand and key themes.

▪ Develop and execute a global social media strategy, including any business cases required to make structural changes to the way the business operates.


New Market Entry:

▪ Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities and lead the exploration and entry into new overseas markets, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful market launches.

▪ Develop localised marketing campaigns tailored to each market's unique cultural and regulatory landscape.


Consumer Engagement:

▪ Implement strategies to enhance consumer engagement and brand visibility across digital channels, including social media, search engines and email marketing.

▪ Foster meaningful relationships with international audiences through compelling content and interactive experiences.


Team Management:

▪ Drive innovation and encourage the wider Marketing team to seek out and identify new trends in digital, including technical enhancement, content creation and deployment.

▪ Build and manage a team of digital marketing and content professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive performance excellence.


Digital Performance Management:

▪ Continuously monitor analyse and present the performance of digital marketing initiatives.

▪ Utilize A/B testing, segmentation, and other techniques to optimize campaign performance, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs.

▪ Define clear KPIs and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

▪ Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns, tracking conversion rates, and working with the wider marketing team to make improvements to the website and social media channels.

▪ Utilising a range of techniques including paid search, social media, and SEO.


Online Brand Management:

▪ Ensure adherence to and implementation of the strategy across their digital infrastructures and in all copy and content creation, adhering to appropriate sign-off procedures.

▪ Develop the brand image and visibility to overseas markets by enriching online content e.g. editorial content, product descriptions, and images.


Budgetary Management

▪ Develop and manage the digital marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives.

▪ Track expenses, forecast spending, and report on financial performance regularly.

▪ Manage relationships with third party digital agencies and suppliers.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

International Experience/New Market Expansion:

▪ Proven track record of successfully expanding businesses into new markets.

▪ Demonstrated ability to navigate diverse cultural landscapes and adapt marketing strategies accordingly.

▪ Experience leading market research initiatives to identify opportunities and challenges in foreign markets.

Technical Experience:

▪ Expertise in utilizing digital marketing tools and technologies to drive results, including Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), WeChat and TikTok.

▪ Proficiency in leveraging marketing automation platforms, CRM systems (Hubspot), and other MarTech solutions to streamline marketing operations and enhance efficiency.

▪ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights to inform marketing strategies and decision-making.

▪ Experience conducting comprehensive SEO audits and developing tailored optimization plans for diverse geographic regions and languages.

▪ Ability to provide strategic guidance and recommendations to enhance website performance and ranking across international search engines.


Consumer Background:

▪ Deep understanding of consumer behaviour and preferences, with a focus on delivering exceptional seamless customer experiences.

▪ Experience developing consumer-centric marketing strategies that resonate with diverse international audiences.

▪ Proven ability to build strong brand affinity and loyalty through targeted marketing campaigns and personalized engagement tactics.


ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

▪ Five years+ of experience in digital marketing leadership roles, preferably in a global market.

▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

▪ Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

▪ Results-driven commercial mindset with a focus on driving measurable outcomes and achieving business objectives.
