Who You Are

You are a dedicated and skilled professional with a strong commitment to engaging and working with vulnerable young individuals involved in youth justice services. Your ability to interact and communicate effectively with these young people, who are often subject to statutory interventions, is fundamental. You possess excellent organizational skills and a keen understanding of the youth justice system, enabling you to contribute towards the development and supervision of intervention programs and community reparation placements. Your expertise in leading, planning, and evaluating youth forums demonstrates your leadership qualities, as does your capacity for collaborative teamwork with case managers and other agencies.

What the Job Involves

This role involves leading the planning and delivery of personalized support for high-risk children and young people within the youth justice services who meet the Intensive Supervision and Surveillance (ISS) criteria. Your responsibilities include formulating a weekly ISS timetable with the Youth Justice Service Case Manager, ensuring the delivery of support packages and timetabled activities for the young individuals and their families. You will conduct specific interventions aimed at aiding children's desistance from offending and ensuring their safety, while also facilitating community reparation placements and supervising attendance. Additionally, you will keep up-to-date records, ensure compliance with youth justice procedures, and lead the planning and evaluation of the Youth Justice Service's youth forum. This position requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, which might include evening work and occasional Sunday duties.
