We’re recruiting for Risk Manager to join our Group HR function. In this role you will be the subject matter expert and lead supporting our business in risk management and oversight. You will ensure adherence to the Groupwide risk & controls framework supported by our 2nd line and 3rd line audit colleagues, ensuring the function remains compliant with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
What you'll be doing:
- Tracking, analysis and monitoring of compliance or risk in relation to HR business activity and processes as well as continuous improvement of the area
- Consolidating and reporting risk assessment information across all areas to allow senior management to effectively manage their risk levels. Routine production and analysis of risk management information and key risk indicators
- Ensuring appropriate risk and control frameworks are implemented and managed, aligned relevant Group Policies, as well as managing, motivating, and developing employees at all levels
- Managing the Operational Controls Risk Committee to identify, assess, report and monitor material risks, engaging with key stakeholders across 1LoD/2LoD/3LoD ensuring the right information is escalated at the right level, at the right time
- Maintaining the departmental risk registers, risk maps and key controls including working with individual owners to address departmental issues/actions (e.g. risk exposures, control weaknesses, policy non-conformity) with mitigation plans or formal risk acceptance
- Continuously improving the risk management lifecycle, with oversight of the key risk areas in HR – third party risk, IT and IS risk, and data risk
- Design and implement management practices which ensure our teams are aware of our company values, including treating customers fairly and our rules of conduct, acting in good faith and delivering good customer outcomes
- Training and pro-active communications to the department on risk management, and ongoing continuous improvement to evolve the risk understanding in the area
Who we're looking for:
- Experience working in a 1st line or 2nd line risk management role
- Knowledge of key control areas such as information security, change management, employee conduct, & financial crime
- Able to support senior management meetings including preparing reports and dashboards
- Investigation and data analysis for root cause, trends, and deep dives
- Knowledge of MS Office incl PowerPoint, and Power BI desirable
- Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver outputs to an excellent standard
