THE ROLE OF HEAD OF MARKETING:


- Create and deliver marketing campaigns to drive membership

- Nurture leads, and working with the Exec team, pitch, convert and onboard new members, continuously improving the process to maximise effectiveness and efficiency

- Work across organisation to embed a shared culture that drives member acquisition

- Share data, define processes, build capability and drive best practice and collaboration across organisation to deliver member engagement and value

- Proactive outreach to under-engaged retail members to help them fully harness the value of their membership and thus maximize renewals

- Conduct account reviews with retail members to share opportunities for greater engagement and value

- Ensure co-ordination and support and drive best-practice across marketing for all revenue streams, ensuring alignment, efficiencies and cross-marketing where appropriate

- Work with Community Managers to maximise value members derive from communities and ensure that member communication is consistent and rationalised

- Develop and provide internal reporting - tracking marketing activity and KPIs, continually testing activity and impact, using metrics to support ongoing improvement

- Own non-commercial media partnerships that help us reach a wider audience

- Maximise internal usage and value derived from the Microsoft Dynamics CRM system and ClickDimensions email tool to deliver member and maximise commercial opportunities

- Lead the ongoing development and support of the website, notably a full rebuild underway and scheduled for Launch by end ’24

- Act as brand Guardian

- Drive the marketing and sales of the event spaces at the HQ

- Work closely with the Commercial Director, Head of Partnerships and Head of Learning to identify opportunities for process improvement or commercial growth that support the delivery of the organisation’s commercial objectives

- Line management of three marketing team members


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE HEAD OF MARKETING ROLE:


- A commercial outlook, experience in a proactive B2B marketing environment, combining strong analytical skills with a commitment to delivering engaging communications.

- Experience of working with CRM systems preferably Microsoft Dynamics, web-based email (HTML) software such as Click Dimensions and website CMS.

- Line management experience

- Relevant degree or CIM / post graduate qualification desirable

- Effective time management skills/multi-tasking skills to manage several and diverse campaigns at once

- A creative thinker and problem solver who takes a proactive and intelligent approach to their work

- A good team player, who understands the dynamics of a small team and the importance of open communication and accountability

- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and thorough understanding of tagging and tracking
