Our Supply Chain team plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business by managing inventory, purchasing, and metal risk. Our main activities include stock management, supplier relations, and supporting the commercial organization by maintaining the availability of the correct stock. Currently, we are looking for a new member to join us as one of our colleagues is moving on to new opportunities.
GETTING A FLYING START
As a Supply Chain Coordinator / Metal Hedging Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring effective inventory management and supply chain operations. Your role is pivotal in analysing sales patterns, forecasting needs, and making purchasing decisions to maintain stock levels. Additionally, you will collaborate with the CFO to manage metal risk and ensure the organization minimizes its exposure to metal price fluctuations. Your efforts will directly support the company by ensuring we meet both internal business needs and external customer satisfaction.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
- Stock Management: Maintain appropriate stock levels and generate regular reports to support decision-making.
- Sales Analysis: Work closely with sales teams to analyze trends and forecast future needs, placing replenishment orders as necessary.
- Metal Hedging: Perform risk mapping, manage daily and monthly reconciliations, and keep positions within authorized limits.
- Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring accurate pricing and shipping costs.
- Quality Control: Address customer complaints and manage corrective actions, ensuring continuous improvement in supply chain operations.
YOUR STARTING POINTS WHEN YOU JOIN
- Strong Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other related software.
- Educational Background: Educated to A Level standard or equivalent; CIPS Level 4 qualification is desirable.
- Relevant Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commodities and finance tracking.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
