Location: Remote (UK-based)

Salary: Up to £85,000 per annum

Interview Process: 3 Stages; 1st cultural, 2nd technical, 3rd with the founder

Team Size: 5 (UK-based Technical Team)

Meetups: Biannual meetups in Birmingham (usually)

Key Responsibilities


Technical Leadership:

  • Drive the technical direction of the company, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Hands on Coding - Ruby on Rails
  • Make strategic decisions regarding technology stack, architecture, and development methodologies.
  • Act as a technical advisor to the management team, providing insights and recommendations.


Hands-on Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions in Ruby on Rails.
  • Collaborate with the team to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation are followed.


Team Management (Potentially as the team grows):

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers.
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the development team, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Participate in the hiring process as the team expands.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
