We are seeking an experienced Indirect Procurement to join our Procurement team.


As the Site Coordinator and Buyer for Indirect Procurement at Piramal Pharma, he/she'll lead the management of procurement activities concerning indirect goods and services vital for site operations. His/Her role revolves around coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the timely acquisition, ordering, and delivery of indirect materials, all while upholding cost-effectiveness and quality standards. This position demands robust organizational abilities, acute attention to detail, and effective communication to adeptly support the site's procurement functions.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage procurement activities for indirect goods and services required to support site operations.
  • Facilitate the sourcing, ordering, and delivery process in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers of indirect materials, negotiating terms, pricing, and contracts to achieve favorable outcomes while ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier inquiries, issue resolution, and performance evaluation.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement metrics, such as order cycle time, inventory levels, and supplier performance, to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the procurement process, implementing best practices to streamline operations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of indirect materials, working closely with inventory control teams to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.


Critical Tasks

Deliver cost improvements to the site for material.

Manage vendor performance and develop alternate sourcing proposals where risks to business are identified.

Install continuous improvement culture in terms of lowering Total Cost of Ownership & adding value to site operations.


Critical Skills

Required:

•Good interpersonal and analytical skills.

•Excellent negotiation skills – be able to influence outcome with vendors.

•Knowledge of contract law.

•IT literate – able to summarise and evaluate using Microsoft products e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

•Advanced IT skills for analysis, data manipulation, project management & tracking/monitoring key data.

•Change agent for the site.
