We are currently looking for a Guillotine Operator to join our Operations Division.


Applicants must be able to work alone or as part of a team as we manage a variety of projects for our client base. The environment is fast paced and can be time critical, as we look to ensure delivery on time and in full, whilst maintaining high levels of quality.


Daily duties will include:

  • Set up and operate guillotine to cut a variety of paper sizes.
  • Capacity to operate other print finishing equipment.
  • Perform quality control checks and recording of paperwork.
  • Use hand tools to adjust machine settings as needed.
  • Monitor machine operation to ensure quality of finished products.
  • Inspect finished items for accuracy and conformity to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the guillotine to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the finishing process.
  • Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Being able to manage multiple jobs and tasks simultaneously and be able to adjust immediately to changing priorities.
  • Communicate with other departments during the production process.
  • Awareness and adherence to the Company’s Quality, Health and Safety, Hygiene and Environmental Policies and Procedures to maintain and safe work environment.
  • Coach and mentor fellow employees.


Requirements

  • Experience operating guillotines is essential for this role.
  • Previous experience with Polar and/or Perfecta guillotines is highly desirable, but experience of other machines will be considered.
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to operate guillotines effectively.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and experience of maintaining health & safety, quality and hygiene controls within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with manual handling (a valid forklift licence is desirable but not a necessity).


Working hours

40 hours per week on a flexible day shift rotation


Salary

Competitive Salary - based upon experience.
