Job Summary


As an Infrastructure Manager in the IT department, you will have primary responsibility for overseeing and enhancing the WAN, LAN, SAN, and VOIP platforms. You will be tasked with developing and implementing cost-effective Infrastructure and Security strategies that align with business needs. Additionally, you will manage the Infrastructure Team and collaborate closely with the Service Delivery Manager to address and resolve complex, ongoing issues.

Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and maintain the IT infrastructure 24/7, ensuring budget adherence and compliance with SLAs.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of infrastructure changes.
  • Serve as the technical lead for service mobilisations.
  • Oversee infrastructure incident management.
  • Lead the Infrastructure Change programme.
  • Assist in the production and testing of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
  • Develop policies and procedures for IT Infrastructure and Security systems.
  • Participate in the identification, management, and resolution of IT risks as part of the IT risk management team.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for infrastructure improvement across the organisation.
  • Manage relationships with key infrastructure suppliers, including project scoping and SLA compliance.
  • Maintain high standards for documentation and change control processes related to the infrastructure.
  • Support continuous improvement of IT systems by implementing IT Best Practices, including ITIL and ISO 27001.
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Participate in regular on-call duties.


Qualifications & Skills


  • Office 365, Windows Server, Citrix, Linux server administration, Cisco CCNA, VMware, Active Directory Administration, ITIL, Firewall Management.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field or significant relevant experience in a related work area.


Experience


  • Proven experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure, including networking and telephony, or working in a similar senior infrastructure role.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver 24/7 infrastructure uptime.
  • Strong knowledge of networking and telephony (VOIP Contact Centre).
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, such as ISO27001.
  • Experience maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
  • Proficiency in supplier management.
  • Experience managing complex software licensing arrangements.
