Technical Architect/Senior Technologist at Renowned London and Southwest Studio

Are you an experienced and diligent Architect or Senior Technologist looking for your next career opportunity? Role Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for the creation and development of design proposals, planning applications, technical specifications, tender packages, and detailed construction drawings. Your experience across RIBA work stages 3-5 will be essential. You will actively engage with clients, consultants, contractors, and other construction professionals, presenting work, chairing meetings, and preparing and submitting planning applications.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop design proposals and planning applications through to technical specifications, tender packages, and detailed construction drawings.
  • Engage with clients, consultants, contractors, and other construction professionals, presenting work, chairing meetings, and setting agendas.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications with knowledge of the planning system, including NPPF/Local Plans and relevant guidance.
  • Produce project programmes and manage a small team of architects, assistants, and technologists.
  • Carry out designer CDM responsibilities.
  • Attend and assist with site appraisals, surveys, client meetings, and site inspections.
  • Mentor and support colleagues, fostering a cohesive team environment.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Residential Sector Experience: Proven experience in residential projects, including apartment buildings and low-scale housing. Experience in healthcare and industrial sectors is advantageous.
  • Qualifications: Part III RIBA Qualified Architect or CIAT registered (if a Senior Technologist).
  • Technical Skills: Strong construction knowledge with the ability to produce technical details. Proficiency in Revit is essential, and experience with AutoCAD is advantageous.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of UK office-based, post-qualification experience.
  • Personal Attributes: Highly motivated, organized, with excellent communication skills.
