Job Summary: As a Quantity Surveyor specialising in JCT contracts, you will play a critical role in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of our construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your expertise in JCT contracts will be essential in managing cost control, procurement, and contract administration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Manage and administer JCT contracts from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with all contractual requirements.
  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost control measures are in place.
  • Tendering and Procurement: Oversee the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and selection of contractors and suppliers.
  • Valuations and Payments: Conduct regular valuations of work in progress, prepare interim and final payment applications, and ensure timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
  • Change Management: Manage variations and changes to the scope of work, ensuring all changes are properly documented and agreed upon.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records, prepare regular reports on project progress, costs, and financial performance, and ensure all documentation is up to date.
  • Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
