The Role: As a Business Development Assistant based in the Hitchin office (5 days a week with flexibility), you will be responsible for booking and qualifying appointments with key decision-makers in the Waste and Food sectors. Your goal is to sell odour, emission, and dust control systems within the UK. Your primary focus will be developing relationships and setting appointments with contractors and site managers for the company's technical sales team, based on a list of identified projects. Additionally, the Business Development Assistant will provide leads to further support sales efforts. This pivotal role involves initiating potential projects and tenders, ensuring that meetings with key stakeholders are scheduled so the technical sales team can close the deals.
The Business Development Assistant will primarily target decision-makers within the company's core business of odour and emission control, which constitutes 80% of the company's revenue. Focusing on the waste sector, these control systems are used in various applications, including anaerobic digestion, materials recycling, and waste-to-energy plants. You'll be involved in exciting and unique projects within these industries.
The Company: Our client is a family-owned business specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of odour, emission, and dust control systems for the waste and food sectors across the UK and Europe. They are committed to fostering a stable, close-knit work environment and take great pride in their team. They are currently seeking a new team member to drive telesales, bringing additional enthusiasm and energy to their growing team.
For this Business Development Assistant position, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

Benefits of this Business Development Assistant role:
- £35,000 to £40,000 base salary
- OTE: £1500 to £1800 per month
