Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services; or equivalent; or a preparedness to work towards the same.
  • Driving Licence
  • Have experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviours including mental health and emotional and behaviour difficulties.
  • At least 2 years Registered Manager or Deputy Manager experience of working in an Ofsted regulated children's home that carries a rating of good or above.
  • Excellent knowledge of current legislations The Children’s Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, the Children’s Act 1989, Children Act 2004 alongside all other legislations that are relevant to residential children’s homes
  • We are seeking a passionate individual to help create and maintain a child-centred therapeutic home with the ability to lead a staff team. The role requires a degree of resilience and patience for working with a vulnerable young people. You will require previous experience of regulatory requirements as it relates to Children’s homes, staff supervision and leading a team.


The manager will be driven along with a requirement to be empathetic, committed, compassionate and passionate to be able to work with our children and young people who are from dynamic backgrounds, cultures, ages and genders.


The successful candidate will support young people to grow in all areas of their lives and work towards emotional stability whilst developing to their full potential. They will lead and manage the children’s home consistent with the approach and ethos of the organisation, delivering outcomes and high-quality care as set out in the home’s statement of purpose.


Starting Salary £50k
