MHA are looking to appoint an individual for the post of Legal Counsel working alongside the firm’s General Counsel.
The purpose of this role is to provide the firm with quality, accurate and relevant legal advice on a whole spectrum of legal matters that apply to the services we offer. This includes assisting with contractual queries, handling claims and complaints, working with our brokers on the firm’s risk insurances and other risk management issues

Main Responsibilities
As Legal Counsel at MHA you will assist the General Counsel and other members of the firm’s Board with legal matters that the firm may face. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing detailed, relevant, and timely legal guidance to team members on various legal matters that affect the firm;
- Working with the firm’s external lawyers on active litigation and other regulatory matters;
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts and agreements with our client and/or providers;
- Assisting in the development of the firm’s policies and procedures to manage and mitigate risk;
- Promoting legal and compliance best practice throughout the firm and designing and delivering legal training to the company.
Qualification and Skills
- Qualified as a solicitor with 2 years post qualified experience as a commercial lawyer working in-house or in a leading law firm.
- Experience in providing legal advice and guidance to the professional services sector.
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of relevant commercial and corporate law.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
