About the role:

We are looking for a Learning Designer to support the delivery of CMI’s new product development strategy. Reporting to the Senior Product Development Manager, you will provide subject matter expertise in pedagogically-driven product design.


You will be a key member of the Product Development Team, meeting the needs of CMI’s customers. A principal focus of the role includes designing new frameworks, modules and learning units, and redesigning courses and workflows to make learning accessible and engaging.


Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing and reviewing new learning frameworks, qualifications and learning pathways
  • Creating new units and modules, using learning and teaching best practice, including using taxonomic learning outcomes and constructive alignment in design
  • Taking an agile, research-informed approach to curriculum design, creating programmes of study to meet the skills requirements of our partners and industry; leveraging digital learning technologies where appropriate
  • Analysing our current and new frameworks and qualifications for accessibility compliance, making adjustments where necessary to ensure that neurodiversity is comprehensively addressed in our product offer
  • Designing qualifications and learning pathways which meet regulatory requirements (e.g. Ofqual) where appropriate

  • An excellent understanding of neurodiversity in learners, and promoting accessibility in learning and teaching
  • Demonstrable experience in designing for online, blended and face-to-face settings
  • Experience of working with Learning Management Systems
  • Experience in the education or training sectors, along with an understanding of Awarding or Professional Bodies are highly desirable
