WR Fundraising Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for a Major Gifts professional to lead a high achieving philanthropy operation in one of the region’s best supported health charities.


Taking a front-facing and strategic lead on a £1.5 million philanthropy fundraising department, we’re looking for a hands on fundraiser to lead the major donor, trust and foundation & legacy giving programmes.


This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced Major Donor fundraising professional to take the lead on managing a large number of key relationships for the charity across the area, while developing new major donor support.

You’ll be working with a wonderfully supportive Head of Fundraising to develop the philanthropy strategy for the charity and having a direct positive impact on young people’s lives.


Philanthropy Manager

Permanent, Full Time

Surrey with hybrid and flexible working

£48,000 to Circa £55,000 per annum on experience


Excellent benefits including an amazing level of employer pension contributions.


Duties will include:

  • Develop and implement a multi-year strategy for philanthropy fundraising
  • Developing high level giving from individuals, trusts and legators
  • Oversee the cultivation and stewardship of existing donors and supporters
  • Drive growth and development through major giving and relationship fundraising
  • Hold key relationships with the charity’s most important funders, supporters and advocates
  • Work as part of the SLT and collaboratively with trustees and colleagues across the organisation


Ideal candidates will:

  • Be a people person with amazing relationship management skills and the ability to inspire
  • Be a highly motivated and results-oriented fundraiser with extensive experience in philanthropy fundraising or a similar role.
  • Have specialist knowledge of major donor / high value giving / philanthropy, grant and foundation funding
  • Be highly skilled in managing senior accounts and high profile individuals
  • Have a proven track record of securing major gifts and exceeding fundraising targets.
