About the role

The Social Media and Marketing Manager will play an integral role within the Symplicity team– helping us with our mission to bring a fantastic plant-based alternative to consumers plates.

As the sole member of the marketing team you’ll take end to end responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of marketing and social media activations. Working alongside the sales team and business founders – Neil & Mark, you will drive new business and engage current partners and customers.


SOCIAL MEDIA

o Responsible for all social media channels including strategy, content creation, scheduling, copy writing captions and community management

o Plan, create and execute exciting content across our social channels to engage businesses, chefs and wholesale suppliers, maximising on key dates and peak trading periods

o Community engagement on organic social platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram, to build an engaged Symplicity following and community

o Deliver monthly social media reports with learnings and recommendations

o Create and deliver an ad management and organic paid boosting strategy to drive website traffic, sales leads and follower growth

o Keep up to date with industry trends and competitors, bringing insights and learnings to showcase to the team.


PARTNERSHIP AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

o Seek, develop and implement new opportunities to enhance brand visibility and drive sales either with likeminded brands, key customers and/or perspective clients, building business cases to support the opportunity

o Build and maintain relationships with key customers, being the primary marketing contact for marketing support and resources

o Working closely with the sales team to align partner marketing activities with overall business objectives.


MARKETING CONTENT

o Develop and design marketing materials to support the sales team in driving business, including but not limited to flyers, decks, launch packs, using available tools

o Working closely with the sales team to capture category leading content

o Write and proof copy for marketing assets

o Ensure all content is consistent with brand guidelines and messaging

o Organise and oversee content production (including print) and photoshoots for marketing assets within budget


EVENT COORDINATION

o Review proposed event and brand experiences from customers with the sales team, to ensure they meet business needs

o Plan and coordinate event logistics, participation and post-event follow up, ensuring we deliver memorable brand experiences

About Symplicity

In 2019, our resident chef, Neil, identified a gap in the market for plant-based products that taste great, are nutritionally superior, and don't contain processed powders.

Neil teamed up with Mark and Alan, a pair of successful serial entrepreneurs and restauranteurs. Together they brought the idea to market focused on mid/high-end restaurants, pubs and contract caterers as the core customer base.

Symplicity is now a UK-wide supplier to the restaurant and catering industry, supplying some of the top restaurants and Michelin starred chefs.
