Our People team has grown significantly over the last 18 months and this role will further our capability to provide an excellent People service to WithYou. Deputising for our ER Manager and covering the work of our HR Advisors when required, you’ll be taking on a varied and interesting role. You will coach and mentor our Advisors and provide creative solutions and practical advice to managers and employees for all people related issues. As a new role, there is the opportunity to really make this your own, and lots of scope to find new ways of working and improve our existing processes.


As our Senior People Advisor, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that People advice provided is in line with organisational policies and procedures, best practice and employment legislation in order to minimise risk
  • Acting as the escalation point for contentious cases and overseeing the case management of any potential gross misconduct or dismissals
  • Taking responsibility for supporting line managers with all casework issues of employees up to Senior Management level - this includes formal and informal disciplinary and grievance cases; long-term and intermittent sickness absence management; any welfare concerns raised by employees or their managers
  • Championing People policies, procedures and tools to drive a consistent approach across the organisation.
  • Making effective use of data to inform people management decisions and to enable managers to effectively manage performance across the organisation
  • Developing, reviewing and updating resources and guidance for managers on people policies, legislation, and our approach to people management
  • Collaborating with the People Partners to develop and deliver management workshops
  • Monitoring ER metrics and trends and provide quarterly reports to the ER Manager
  • Coaching and developing a regional team of People Advisers in the employment law space
  • Working with the People Shared Services Manager to coach and develop the People Helpdesk team


You will be joining a supportive, hands on People function, with a true team spirit and a real dedication to our staff and clients.

What we’re looking for

  • CIPD qualification equivalent to Level 5 (or working towards)
  • Experience of working in a People role, advising different levels of management
  • Line management experience and the ability to coach, develop and inspire teams
  • Experience and knowledge of the essentials of employment law and managing high volumes of employee relations cases
  • Confidence with data and the ability to provide accurate and informative reports
