Our client, based in Birmingham City Centre, is looking for assistance within the Payroll team and are looking to appoint a new Payroll Co-Ordinator on a five-month fixed term contract.


The role will be focused on assisting with bringing three outsourced Payroll's in house, while providing support to the team to process the existing in house payroll.


This will be a full-time position, with hybrid working (3 days home working), a salary up to £35,000.


Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting with bringing 3 payrolls in house along with processing the end-to-end payroll for 9,000 in-house staff, on a monthly and weekly basis
  • Dealing with manual calculations and updating employee records as required
  • Processing statutory deductions, including SMP, SPP, SSP and SAP and starters and leavers, including P45s
  • Resolving queries via telephone and email
  • Managing general payroll administration tasks, including data entry and inputting timesheets


Experience required:

  • Experience in payroll
  • iTrent experience is preferred but not essential


Rewards and Benefits:

  • 5% employer pension contribution
  • 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Hybrid working arrangement (2 days per week in the office)


Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
