FINTEC recruit is supporting an established and successful manufacturing business based in Highland region, near Inverness, for a Health and Safety Manager. This is a permanent position with salary up to circa £50,000, depending on experience, plus benefits. Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will be joining an H&S team working in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and continuous improvement and development with the internal safety management system, ensuring compliance.
  • Be a lead in terms of promoting health and safety across the business and for projects
  • Advise personnel across the business on health and safety matters
  • Compiling safety reports and maintaining all relevant documentation
  • Ensuring minimum exposure to workplace hazards and achieving 100% compliance on site
  • Involved in leading a safety committee group and sub groups

Skills and experience required for the Health and Safety Manager role:

  • Degree qualification (desirable) in a relevant discipline
  • Qualifications in Health and Safety (NEBOSH or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety Management role is essential
