Are you a detail-oriented and motivated Compliance Administrator looking for a new opportunity? Our client, a leading banking organisation, is seeking a talented individual like you to join their team as a Compliance Administrator on a fixed-term contract basis. This is your chance to work in a dynamic and professional environment, contributing to the first line of defence against financial crime and sanctions risks. This role is Monday to Friday typically 9-5.


Key Role and Daily Tasks

  • Acting as an analyst, investigating ABC requests for the first line of defence, ensuring compliance with the Bank's policies and procedures
  • Reviewing submissions related to gifts and entertainment, ensuring completeness and documentation before approval
  • Escalating any suppliers or associated parties that may expose the Bank to sanction or financial crime risks
  • Collaborating closely with teams in London, Paris, and SMBC Nikko, providing ABC services
  • Liaising with the CPD Financial Crime Group (Forensic team) for guidance and advice
  • Working with other areas of the Bank to ensure timely clearance for time-critical applications
  • Providing MI for reporting purposes to Bank committees


Skills & Qualifications

  • A good understanding of the regulatory framework associated with the UK Bribery Act, financial crime, sanctions, and AML
  • Previous experience in a CDD/ABC team within a financial institution
  • Externally recognised qualifications in AML and Customer Due Diligence (e.g., ICA certificates / ACAMS)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex issues to different levels of the organisation
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
