Job Description:

Arm is building a team to develop silicon demonstrators based on Arm’s IP targeting premium mobile, infrastructure and automotive markets. Responsibilities:

As a hardware design engineer, you will be involved in the design process of subsystems for different markets by integrating the latest Arm IP products with the target to reach maximum efficiency in terms of power consumption, performance and area while ensuring correct functional behaviour. Your key responsibilities will include creating plans, defining the microarchitecture of the products, developing system level RTL code using System Verilog, running design checks, identifying and fixing bugs. Collaboration with functions such as architecture, verification, performance analysis, power analysis, implementation and various IP teams is essential as we work together on enabling our partners' success.

Required Skills and Experience :
  • Bachelors (or equivalent) or Masters (MS/MSc) in Electronics, Electrical or Computer Engineering - although other degrees will be considered with meaningful work experience.
  • Good understanding of SoC / ASIC (or FGPA) design methodologies and techniques
  • Familiarity with a hardware description language, such as VHDL or Verilog/SystemVerilog
  • Familiarity with basic digital design concepts
  • Exposure to verification techniques and testbenches (e.g. UVM and Formal)
  • Fundamentals of computer architecture and systems
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
  • Practical experience of working on microprocessor or complex system designs / SoCs
  • Knowledge of basic scripting languages, e.g. Perl/TCL/Python
  • Experience with Linux, shell scripts and Makefiles
  • Familiar with embedded C, assembly and compilers
