Reed Construction are excited to announce a fantastic job opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor / Employer’s Agent to join the expanding hotel and leisure team of a well-established consultancy in Birmingham.
About You:
- You will have relevant quantity surveying experience
- Ideally from a leisure, hotel or retail background
- You have either completed your APC or are on the path to completion.
- You are self-motivated, possess your own transport, and are willing to travel nationwide to customer locations.
- You have the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- You are ambitious and are wanting to progress your QS career through to Senior QS, Principal QS and then even Directorship
The Role:
- Work as part of a team to deliver new build and refurbishment hotel and leisure projects, managing multiple projects from inception to completion.
- Manage estimating and cost planning activities, apply value management techniques.
- Liaise with the Client and design team while monitoring progress on site.
- Attend site meetings, answer queries, issue variations, cost reporting and ensure compliance of the Client’s requirements.
- Place and coordinate FF&E orders.
- Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow.
- Ensure that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that Final Accounts are negotiated and agreed.
- Coordinate a successful and timely Practical Completion.
What's on offer:
- Salary package of £45-55,000 per annum
- Great scope for progression available to Senior QS level and then Director beyond that
