Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

Are you a visionary engineering leader ready to tackle one of the UK’s most exciting challenges in the nuclear energy sector? Join Sizewell C's Pre-Operations team and take a pivotal role in driving the operational readiness of the UK’s next nuclear power station

This is your opportunity to influence the future of clean energy, lead innovative engineering strategies, and collaborate with industry experts to deliver a landmark project.

Why Join Us?

At Sizewell C (SZC), we’re not just building a power station – we’re creating a legacy of innovation, safety, and operational excellence. As the Engineering Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of this transformative journey, ensuring engineering readiness from construction through to operation.

Achieve Operational Readiness: Define systems, tools, and frameworks to ensure SZC is prepared for safe, efficient operation.

Engage Key Stakeholders: Strengthen relationships with UK Government, EDF, regulators, and other industry leaders to align objectives and achieve milestones.

What You'll Be Accountable For:

Owning and delivering long-term Engineering and Maintenance strategies that meet regulatory, statutory, and operational needs.

Acting as the Intelligent Customer for work delivered by service providers like the Nuclear Skills Alliance.
