Position Summary:
A unique opportunity awaits an experienced professional in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and market access to lead strategic initiatives throughout Europe. In this senior leadership role, you will collaborate with pharmaceutical and biotech clients, offering expert guidance on submissions to major regulatory bodies, including NICE, SMC, NCPE, HAS, and G-BA.
As a key player in establishing and expanding a new HEOR and market access organisation in Europe, you will be supported by a highly skilled team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about team leadership, strategic planning, and delivering impactful solutions within the healthcare industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams and provide strategic advice to clients within the pharma and biotech sectors.
- Drive scientific sales efforts with both new and existing clients.
- Oversee the development of proposals, ensuring they meet high standards and satisfy client needs.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and contractors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Independently manage projects, addressing issues, managing scope, and implementing contingency plans.
- Contribute to best practices, employee management, and training initiatives.
- Play a critical role in decision-making related to company direction, staffing, and workload management.
- Participate in hiring processes and provide mentorship to both new and existing employees.
- Oversee operational activities and identify opportunities for improving efficiency.
- Achieve revenue targets ranging from $1M-$3M.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in a medical- or mathematics-related field such as biology, epidemiology, pharmacology, health economics, or statistics.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in health research, health economics, or a related field, ideally within a consulting environment.
- Demonstrated abilities in strategic thinking, analysis, and problem-solving.
- Proven leadership experience with skills in team-building and mentoring.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to maintain and build business relationships.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; additional experience with programming software (e.g., VBA) or statistical packages is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in business development and proposal creation is highly desirable.
